Viet Nam’s Industrial Activity on the Up in Q1/2022
Despite labour shortages, the Russia-Ukraine conflict, inflation, and increasing oil and raw material prices, Viet Nam’s industrial sector performed well in the first quarter.
Industrial Insider – Q1/2022 Statistics:
- GDP growth was 5.0%.
- There were 322 new FDI projects and registered FDI capital reached US$8.9 billion.
- Binh Duong led FDI inflows with US$2.3 billion. It was followed by Bac Ninh and Thai Nguyen.
- Industrial production increased by 8.5% compared to last year.
- Major developers announced investment plans for new industrial park projects.
